Wilson Garners Hard Charger Award at Black Hills Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – BILLINGS, Mont. (Aug. 28, 2018) – Greg Wilson produced another strong outing last Friday during the Rushmore Outlaw Showdown.

Wilson guided his Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics and Gear Alloy Wheels sponsored team from 17th to a sixth-place finish during the A Main at Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, S.D. The performance garnered the Hard Charger Award for passing the most cars.

“We had a great car and could really stick the bottom of the track when most everyone else had to run the top of the track,” he said. “We seemed to get better as the race went on and I think if the race was longer we could have gained even more positions. It’s always a great feeling to load up on a night when you make that much progress. It’s certainly a confidence booster.”

The weekend wrapped up on Saturday at Big Sky Speedway during the NAPA Auto Parts & Visit Billings presents the Big Sky Brawl at Big Sky Speedway. Wilson also made progress in the feature as he rallied from 16th to a 12th-place result, which tied his career-best finish at the track set last year.

“We made progress, but just couldn’t get over the hurdle to crack the top 10,” he said. “I’m really pleased with the weekend and our direction over the last couple of months. We’re gaining on this and the results are getting better and better. We keep working hard and staying positive and that is leading to bigger and better things.”

Wilson is heading to Washington for a trio of races this holiday weekend. He will compete on Friday and Saturday at Skagit Speedway in Alger during the Outlaw Energy Showdown and on Monday at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma.

“It’s always great to make it to Washington for these three races and to get to see these fans,” he said. “We only get to the Northwest once a year for only a couple of races so it’s always fun to be out here with the great fans as well as to see the beautiful scenery.”

Wilson is also excited to announce that Hermanson Company in Kent, Wash., has joined the team as a marketing partner throughout the Northwest swing and possibly more.

“A special thanks to some mutual friends from Florida for setting this into motion,” Wilson said. “Troy Lowery and Hermanson Company are getting involved with our team and we’re thrilled to have their support. We’re excited to race in their home state and hopefully we can produce some solid results this weekend.”
